God has placed this message on my heart for those who have
lost hope. The world is a tough place. We have all erroneously crossed the
fence of life in belief that the grass was somehow greener on the other side.
After making the decision to cross the fence, we often time come to an abrupt
realization that what we thought were lush greens was in fact artificial turf.
During the time it takes for us to ascertain our misperceptions, we are
simultaneously tainted by what was on the other side of the fence. Naturally,
we grow tired and become discouraged by our own moral depletion which
continuously wreaks havoc on the house GOD had prepared for us. Perhaps in some
cases, the other side of the fence may have lead us to a life of drugs,
violence, fornication, adultery, theft, confusion, depression, self-pity, or
gluttony, but God can restore us all.
Brethren, forget the negativity and cynicism of the
naysayers. No matter the current condition of your home in Christ, I bring good
news of a master renovator! In His renovation contract is this guarantee of
service: “24 For I will take
you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you
back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water
on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your
impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a
new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart
of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put my
Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to
keep my laws (Ezekiel 36:24-27).
You see brethren, when Christ
died on the cross for our sins, he paid the price for all cost associated with
the renovation of our home in Him. The confession of our tongue that proclaims
Him as our Lord and Savior tells the Master Renovator what we desire for our
renovation design. The Holy Spirit supplies us with all of the tools and
materials that are essential to the undergoing of renovation. Baptism is GOD’s
purification waters which serve as demolition of the old, the unclean and
unneeded structures within us to form a blank canvas for the implementation of
the new. The Renovator uses our faith to restore the foundation of our home. He
uses His grace to lay floors over our foundation and His mercy to give our home
refined definition. His sacrificial blood provides new life to our interior
walls, and His promise of refuge prepares for us a new roof that covers us from
danger. His love furnishes our home with blessings. And lastly, His glory
concludes our renovation with a stamp of beautification.
My prayer for you today:
"Heavenly Father I have been
called names and belittled for my past sins. I know that you are a redeemer and
a builder of man. Those that judge me, I pray for them and their shortcomings.
Restore me O’ Lord, that I might be worthy of your Kingdom. I accept your gift
of renovation and thank you in advance for a job well done. In the name of your
son Jesus, Amen…
May this message be a blessing to
you all…"
