Becoming a Christian is a choice which GOD has left into the hands of each individual. Becoming a Christian is not only man’s choice, but also a lifelong commitment to honor the teaching of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Today’s question is: When did you know that you wanted to give your life to Christ and what do you feel prevented you from making a commitment to Christ sooner? Feel free to elaborate as much as you like.

  1. Well I gave my life to christ at age 12. There were times when I felt as though I did it a little early in life and missed out on alot of other things but as I look back, God blocked me from dangers unseen! So I am glad that I gave my life when I did!

  2. Making a decision to serve Christ was a choice I made at a very young age. Being raised in the church has always shown me that having God as the foundation of my life was not only a priority, but a necessity. For me, nothing stood in the way of that, but my walk with Christ has been far from picture perfect. At times getting caught up in the things of this world can make you stray away, but I am thankful for my foundation and always knowing how to get back to HIM and the word on which I stand. Be blessed people and continue perfect your walk with Christ.

  3. I grew up in the primitive Baptist church denomination and I use my revival and “mourning” bench experience as the very first instance in which I knew what salvation meant and that having a personal relationship with Christ was the only way to live a fully blessed life through God’s salvation, I was about 13 years old. Over the years I’ve nurtured that relationship and continue to work hard at not being separated from biblical teachings and living the spirit filled life intended for me. ~Mary Lester
